Rn Bsn Nursing Programs

Our RN-BSN program is designed for working registered nurses. Students must have an unencumbered registered nursing license to qualify for this program.  Expand your leadership skills and your career opportunities by adding a Bachelor of Science in Nursing to your Registered Nurse licensure.

Rn Bsn Nursing Programs

The RN-BSN program at the UMKC School of Nursing and Health Studies is a nationally recognized fully online degree that stands out for its use of technology, faculty engagement, excellent student outcomes and student satisfaction.

The UMKC RN-BSN program was recently recognized by TheBestSchools.org as being ranked 12 out of 50 nationally ranked online RN-BSN programs for quality online delivery. A recognition we are most proud of.

One feature that sets the UMKC RN-BSN program apart from other completion programs is the integration of rural, urban and suburban nurses coming together to explore issues relevant to health care and the nursing profession. The program is designed to hone the professional development of RNs to become leaders, managers, coordinators, advocates and designers of care. During the final year of the RN-BSN curriculum, student teams work collaboratively with RN-BSN supervisory practice experience faculty, healthcare organizations or healthcare-related entities to design and implement team-directed practice experiences. The process is created to empower you to assume a leadership role in improving health care.

Each state has different registration and approval regulations for online degree programs offered within their state. We are not approved to offer online degree programs in all states. To see if you are eligible to apply to one of our on-line programs, please visit http://info.umkc.edu/online/state-authorization/.

ONLINE DISTANCE EDUCATION PROGRAM
As a public university, pursuing your RN-BSN education at UMKC is quite affordable. We offer in-state tuition in states we are authorized to deliver our RN-BSN program. Although geography might separate you from your professor, students receive a top-quality education with faculty and staff who are committed to your success. Through the use of technological support systems in place, there are many opportunities for students to engage virtually with their professors, academic advisors and their peers.

The RN-BSN track does not require you to come to UMKC for any coursework. Courses are delivered via Blackboard and are held in synchronous and asynchronous modes depending on the professor and class.
